Yesterday something rather surprising happened. So surprising that I in fact missed it!
Yesterday we WON the Brilliance in Blogging Award 2017 for social media.
Unfortunately, being a SAHD, I missed the award ceremony to be at home with the children. (NOT babysitting!)
That meant I didn’t get to give a speech; instead, Jen had to to which she was utterly mortified!
To say I am shocked is an understatement.
To say I am bloody proud is also an understatement.
We LOVE social media. We love talking to so many different people from all sorts of walks of life, getting to new people and of course, sharing our lives with the world.
After 4 years of being on-line we feel that we have formed genuine friendships with so many people.
So to win an award for that is pretty blimin’ awesome.
You may, or may not know, that The Dad Network has the usual social media channels; Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube etc but at the heart of The Dad Network is a group of 11,000 dads all using The Dad Network social media channels to support one another through Fatherhood.
We have supported dads through the best of times but also the worst of times; divorce, babyloss, loss of a loved one, redundancy, financial struggles, addictions, PND and suicidal thoughts.
The support The Dad Network provides is offered 24 / 7 / 365.
I am so proud of The Dad Network, of Jen and of every single one of those dads that make the Network what it is.
So I’m dedicating this award to each and every one of our followers & members.
Thank you to everyone that supports us.
I get to do a job I love, whilst being at home with my children, and a beautiful (ranty) wife.
I’m a lucky man and I couldn’t be any more thankful to everyone who read, watches, likes, comments and follows.
