I’d like to know if you’re going to like sports.

I’d like to know what colour your hair will be.

I’d like to know where each new step is going to take you.

I’d like to know if you like your bedroom.

I’d like to know who your best friend is going to be.

I’d like to know if you’ll be good at maths.

I’d like to know how you’ll cope making friends.

I’d like to know if you can sing.

I’d like to know what makes you laugh.

I’d like to know your favourite colour.

I’d like to know if you’re going to be naughty.

The reality is though, that yes, I do desperately want to know all these things, but the adventure of finding them all out as life moves on is far better than knowing it all at once.
