Both the day and night were a fantastic spectacle for both press and retailers alike, where attendees were greeted by a champagne reception, and treated to a whole host of stunning product launches during the day.
Upon arrival we were given an opportunity to look over the existing products, along with great access to the iCandy team. We loved getting up close and personal with the products, we were invited to the extravagant main hall. The product launches were also complimented by insightful speeches by key members of the iCandy team such as the Head of Marketing, the Head of Design, the Managing Director and the CEOs.
The highlight of the presentation was undoubtedly the brand new addition to the Designer Collection, coined the Midnight Edition. The Midnight pushchair is truly something to behold, it boasts a rose gold finish, along with sleek understated branding, and a unique magnetised footmuff. Not even the slightest detail is neglected, even the suspension which is barely visible exhibits a rose gold finish. Alongside the Midnight, we were treated to the new Strawberry Style Collection, with Cambridge, Soho and Tudor combining to form the vintage collection.
The new Strawberry colours are a homage to classic British design, and acknowledge iCandy winning the Queen’s Award for Enterprise in business earlier in the year. The three new flavour packs all have something a little different, the Soho offers a sleek silver finish, whilst the Cambridge collection utilises a wax fabric material, along with a luxurious quilted Herringbone. After a non-stop day of getting to grips with the new products, and becoming the first people to get to experience the new launches, there was a short interval before the dinner event.
What we didn’t expect to see as we returned to the Victoria warehouse was the amazing transformation of the venue. During the interval, gone were the products on display, along with rows of chairs.
What we now encountered was a midsummer night-esque theme, with starlight’s and mist rising from the floor. Werewolves were also on hand as we made our way to the superbly decorated tables and sat down for dinner.

Prior to the dinner, iCandy’s official charity partners had some words to say on behalf of the hospital. The speech was truly inspiring and helped drive home the crucial work Great Ormond street do all year round. iCandy were holding an auction for the charity, selling unique one off iCandy pushchairs. Together the retailers and press in attendance helped raise an incredible £11,000, which was then trebled by iCandy, taking the total to a staggering £33,000. This fantastic experience was then rounded off with an appearance from Sophie Ellis Bextor as the retailers and press came together to enjoy the last moments of the evening together on the dancefloor.
iCandy truly know how to throw an event, the entire experience from start to finish was a masterclass in event management. Everybody had a great time, potentially a few sore heads the next day. We cannot wait to see the public reaction to Midnight, it is a wonderful pushchair, one which once more effortlessly exudes style and impressive functionality.
