Sir Lewis Hamilton has revealed he is in the process of changing his name.

The 37-year old seven-time world champion says that he intends to incorporate his mother Carmen’s maiden name, Larbalestier, alongside Hamilton.
In an interview he stated that he will include it as a middle name rather than just adding it to his surname.
“I am really proud of my family’s name. My mum’s name is Larbalestier and I’m just about to put that in my name,” said Hamilton.
“I really want her name to continue on with the Hamilton name.

Speaking to the BBC the formula one star said that: “I don’t really fully understand the whole idea when people get married then the woman loses her name.”
He added that he was working on the name change but that it won’t be official for the Bahrain Grand Prix on Sunday.
