The Baby Show Olympia 2015

What is the baby show

We’re big fans of The Baby Show here at The Dad Network. We love the buzz that you get from being around thousands of excited parents all trying to tick off the various products from their baby checklists. We went when Jen was pregnant with Teddy and loved it. In truth, The Baby Show may be a daunting place for any expectant parent, but especially for expectant or new dads, mainly due to the sheer size of the venue and the vast quantity of ‘baby’ stuff! The huge array of products on offer is something you’ll never see in the high street, or even at a Westfield! That’s why, this show really is the best place to go for anything and everything baby related!

Take a look at our guide to this years show.

That gave you a snap shot in to what goes on at The Baby Show. Here are some of our favourite brands & companies on display in more detail.

Tommee Tippee

Perhaps the king of all things feeding! Whether it’s bottles, cups, spoons, bowls, breast pumps or bottle warming solutions, Tommee Tippee is the place to go. We have used, and currently still use, a lot of Tommee Tippee products. The Baby Show stand is like a Tommee Tippee superstore. They have almost their entire range on display with experts on hand to guide you to the best product for you and your baby and give demonstrations.

My Little Duckling

My Little Duckling are a small, but wonderful, business selling fun and excellent quality baby hats. You can see they’re creative and would appeal to most children. Ted’s adores his and has one from the summer range, one from the winter range and one of their ‘all year round’ hats. The stall was very busy all weekend, showing what a popular product they have created.

Moccis

This was a new find for us at The Dad Network. Some excellent footwear for Ted to wear when playing round the house but I was even more impressed when they said that they have adult sizes too! So Ted and I now have matching Moccis. These are a hit with us, a hit with the celebs (apparently) and a hit with Ted. I reckon they’d be a hit with you too!

Bobux

Bobux are fast becoming our go to shoe supplier. At great prices you can get footwear that you can trust. This kiwi company really know their stuff when it comes to shoes and we’ve trusted them to provide Ted’s shoes from his very first pair. To see them at The Baby Show was fantastic.

Stokke

The Baby Show has plenty of market giants revealing their latest ranges. Stokke are one of our favourites; so innovative, yet simple. When you go to the high street to find pushchairs, high chairs and baby carriers you don’t get the expert service and advice from Stoke themselves like you do at The Baby Show. Plus, most places you go, there won’t be the space and range of products to get your hands on and try out, like there is here. Stoke have a fabulous baby carrier that they were promoting at the show. We’re big fans as you can see here!

Crane, Bump & Baby

Another new company that caught our attention. Crane, Bump & Baby pride themselves on sourcing clothes from the smaller companies around the world. They had clothes from as far as Canada and they are all gorgeous, boutique styles that we simply love! A family run business too which is always great to come by.

Toffee Moon

We’re also huge fans of Toffee Moon. If you like the finer things in life, and Ted does, this is the clothing brand for you. They specialise in luxury baby clothes. The next issue of Ted’s Threads will feature some of their latest range. Take a look at Ted’s Toffee Moon Jumper here!

My Baby’s Name Is

Bumping in to this company really did make our day. It was refreshing to see some high quality sleep suits that didn’t have a range of cartoon characters plastered all over it. These are simple, well made, high quality sleep suits in eye catching colours. Providing a platform for these new, smaller companies to get some exposure and brand awareness is something The Baby Show does superbly.

iCandy

iCandy’s presence at The Baby Show has grown hugely and now it’s by far one of the biggest and busiest areas of the show. And it’s obvious why! Amazingly high quality, British pushchairs on offer… who wouldn’t want one! It’s no secret that we’re huge iCandy fans. If you are looking for a pushchair, iCandy has to be at the top of your list! After a lot of research and deliberation we went with the iCandy strawberry, chosen when Jen was around 6 months pregnant. Since then we have also had the pleasure of using the iCandy Peach all-terrain. You can read my review here.

Leading and boutique brands, expert advice and family friendly; why wouldn’t you go to The Baby Show? Here’s a 3 point summary of why you should go!

  1. You really can get everything you need (and plenty of things you don’t need but will love) at this show. If you’re like me you’ll want to get everything you need in one hit. Not trawl around town Saturday afternoon after Saturday afternoon. With this one stop shop for your entire baby shopping list, you can get it all done in one fell swoop!
  2. You will be guaranteed to pick up a great bargain. Most of the exhibitors will be running promotional offers, so you’ll be sure to find a deal or two. The array of products on offer is impressive, meaning that there is something for every budget.
  3. Getting involved in your child’s life, right from the word go, is really important. You might not care what colour the moses basket is, or what type of bottles they will use, but having an interest from the get go will really help you bond with your baby and feel involved from the start.

So what are you waiting for? Book your tickets to the next Baby Show now! See you there :)
