Dadsnet Dads Tested Out IXL—Here’s What They Thought

IXL Article

At Dadsnet, we’re always on the lookout for tools that help parents support their kids’ learning journeys.

So, we had five Dadsnet dads test out IXL; a personalised online learning platform for children.

What is IXL?

IXL offers tailored practice in subjects like maths, science and English, letting you get involved in your child’s education at home. It adapts to each child’s skill level, offering targeted questions and immediate feedback. Parents can track progress, see strengths and areas for improvement, and get involved in their child’s learning journey, which makes it a great tool for home-based educational support.

Our dads have been testing it out, so let’s find out what the dads had to say!

James: “IXL made it easy to see exactly where my daughter needed practice. It’s like having a teacher’s insight at my fingertips and considering my insights are very unlikely to be helpful, this tool is valuable!”

Tom: “I loved the progress tracking, it offers useful insight and suggestions on how I can help during tough topics. This could be deeper but it’s given so much more than I would have had otherwise making it a powerful addition to the support I can offer at home.”

Mark: “My son actually asked to do IXL! It’s interactive and rewarding and I get the sense that he feels in charge of his learning. (That saves a lot of back and forth, I can tell you!”

Ben: “IXL has been brilliant. The learning is one thing, but what it’s done is give me a structured way to sit with my kids and actually be part of their homework time. It’s been a bonding experience as well as helping them at school.”

I mean, that’s from the horses mouths themselves! Our dads found IXL to be a powerful tool for home learning, bringing dads and kids closer to the learning action. One thing’s clear… IXL gives parents an active role in their child’s educational journey at home, in a personalised manner.

Big thumbs up from Dadsnet!
