After a few day trips exploring all Orlando has to offer, I was on the lookout for an evening activity that would entertain the whole family without the usual hustle and bustle.
Enter the Outta Control Magic Comedy Dinner Show—a delightful blend of magic, comedy, and dinner that promised a relaxed yet engaging experience.
Setting the Stage
Located inside WonderWorks on International Drive, the venue itself is hard to miss with its upside-down building design. The intimate theatre setting, accommodating around 125 guests, ensured that every seat had a great view of the stage. The atmosphere was casual and welcoming, and really good for kids who felt like they could relax a little as well.
The Show
The performance was a mix of magic tricks, improvisational comedy, terribly-brilliant dad jokes and audience participation. The magician-comedian on stage had a knack for engaging with the audience, making everyone feel part of the act. My kids were in stitches, and even the adults found themselves laughing out loud. The interactive nature of the show was really great with various diners up on the stage taking part in the magic, including some kids.
Dinner Time
As the show unfolded, we were served unlimited hand-tossed cheese and pepperoni pizza, fresh salad, and a selection of beverages including beer, wine, and soft drinks. The pizza was of course, a hit with the kids, and the unlimited drinks were a nice touch for the adults. The service was prompt and friendly, adding to the overall positive experience AND… the staff were also on hand to keep quiet a rather loud, tipsy, dad who thought he’d heckle his mate on stage!
