The Moment Everything Came Together
After months of living in a building site and weeks of eagerly counting down to shutter day, installation from Shutters Up had arrived — and honestly, it felt like a milestone moment in our new house journey. There is something special about watching that very last piece of a renovation fall into place, and for us, this was it.
A Smooth, Stress Free Installation
From the second the fitter, Tom, stepped through the door, it was clear we were in excellent hands. He was friendly, professional, and incredibly respectful of the house (which, after the chaos of renovation, felt like a small miracle). I can honestly say, as well, I don’t think I’ve met a nicer person – my wife included! Dust sheets went down, tools were neatly organised, and he walked us through exactly what he would be doing in each room.
What really struck me was the care he took. Every frame was levelled with precision, every panel lined up perfectly, every hinge checked twice. He worked quietly and efficiently, and despite having shutters installed across multiple rooms, the house never once felt disrupted – even the dogs stayed settled and that NEVER happens!
And the best part? No hidden surprises. No “we’ll have to come back another day.” They simply arrived, got stuck in, and delivered exactly what they promised.
The Big Reveal
Once everything was installed, they took the time to show us how each shutter worked — how to tilt the louvres, how to open the panels, and how to keep everything looking its best. And then, when we stepped back to look at the rooms properly… wow.
It felt like our home had levelled up.
The clean lines tied everything together. The light control was next level. The rooms instantly felt warmer and more finished, almost like a magazine photo but still totally practical for real family life. Even the kids were impressed — and they’re usually only excited by things that beep or involve snacks.
